Nora Roberts's Facelift Project - Day 1

As it happens, I have way too much time on my hands. I hope that will change soon (fingers crossed), but for now I have decided to take on a personal project to make my hours a little more useful.
Here's what I've decided to do:
You know Nora Roberts, right? Of course you do, that author who has probably a million books published, whose books the old ladies are always reading in the train on their way home? You know, the ones with the really awful covers?
Ok, so I'm not an old lady, but I'm a sucker for Nora Roberts's stories. I think I might have read about 50 of them and I'm not even kidding. I love them. But you know what I don't like? Those awful covers. Specially the old edditions (the new releases are not so bad). Really, they're embarassing. They look like cheesy sex books you buy on the newsstand. Ok, maybe they do usually have sex scenes and some of them can be bought on the newsstand, but still, they're not that type of book.
Don't know what I'm talking about? Let me enlighten you:

You see what I mean? Yeah.
So what I plan to do here is make her books look respectful, so the stories won't be judged by their covers. Or at least, not badly so. I want to make covers that people would'nt try to hide inside a magazine so that other people don't think they're reading that kind of book in public.
I haven't really decided on the rules for this, yet. The purpose of this is none but to have fun. I know I'll chose some covers and redesign them, but I also might decide I want to use a certain creativity method, or maybe I'll set myself some sort of guidelines for the work process. I'll let you know. All I know is that I have already chosen the first cover I'm going to save:

Rejoice!
